Responsibility

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers follow the motto

“Our best today for a better tomorrow.” Fire/EMS Explorers inspire communities and their peers to become engaged in the pursuit of public safety and disaster preparedness.

Compassion

PFD Fire/EMS Explorers help to build and foster community compassion through community outreach. Compassion is an essential ingredient in building and maintaining thriving, healthy, resilient communities, and innovative youth.

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

Benjamin Franklin

SKILLS WE LEARN

The Fire/EMS Explorers program is designed to provide fire service and emergency preparedness training while building character, teaching responsibility, and developing personal fitness. The program activities are centered on six experience areas: career, leadership, service, social interaction, fitness, preventative and preparedness education (fire and life safety prevention).
