Our Explorer Family

The PFD Fire Explorer program believes that building a strong family foundation can only be done by sharing a collaborative set of core values, being inclusive, sharing in diversity, and being supportive of each other.  

PFD Fire Explorers reside in different communities throughout Philadelphia and have various ethnic and social economic backgrounds. More than 25% of the Explorers are bilingual. PFD Fire Explorers attend various schools throughout the city. These characteristics, along with the development and training provide positive and successful outcomes relating to community outreach and public safety.
